The Why Behind the Work
As the Christian church evolves, so too does the way we approach ministry, family, and leadership. The structures and practices that served the generations before us are being unpacked and reshaped to better meet the needs of today. This is hard work, and it’s not something any of us should have to face alone. Whether you’re looking for personal therapy, seeking guidance in your marriage or family, or exploring leadership development within your church community, I’m here to walk alongside you in this journey of growth and transformation.
Through my work in Christian education, research, and therapy, I help individuals, couples, and church leaders navigate this evolving landscape. The pressure to carry the weight of leadership or maintain the image of a perfect family can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Together, we can explore how God is leading you into a new season of faith, growth, and healing.
For many of us, the models of leadership, ministry, and family we inherited are no longer serving us as they once did. The Christian church is shifting—away from performance-driven expectations and towards a deeper, more authentic walk with God. Whether you're an individual looking to unpack your personal struggles, a couple working through challenges, a family desiring healthier connections, or a leader seeking to redefine your role in a changing world, this work can be transformative.
I understand that this journey can feel isolating, especially when you’re carrying the weight of change. But it’s in the process of unpacking our past and reimagining our future that we find true growth. The transformation you seek may be hard work, but it’s also deeply fulfilling and necessary for creating the future God has in mind for you and your community.
If you’re ready to explore how therapy, leadership development, or educational support can help you navigate this new era of faith, I’m here to guide you. Together, we can unpack old narratives, heal from past wounds, and build stronger, more authentic relationships—whether at home, within your ministry, or in your church community. Let’s embrace the hard work of evolving together, with God’s truth as our foundation.
My Family (The Secret Sauce)
Education & Credentials:
With a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy and ongoing research in faith and mental health, I combine psychological practices with a solid theological foundation to help individuals and families navigate emotional and spiritual challenges.
Experience:
In addition to my private practice, I’ve spent over ten years serving in church leadership and various non-profit organizations, and four years as a missionary. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of the unique pressures that leaders, families, and communities face. I’ve also led workshops for church communities and engage in academic research and writing on faith and mental health. This broad experience enables me to integrate therapeutic practices with Scripture, empowering clients to address both emotional and spiritual concerns with clarity and confidence.
Faith-Based Approach:
I bring together theology and psychology to create a space where faith is at the heart of healing. My approach is grounded in Scripture, and I work with each individual’s unique journey. Whether navigating personal struggles, family dynamics, or leadership challenges, I help clients gain emotional healing and clarity, with a faith-centered perspective that’s practical, applicable, and transformative.
While it sounds like I spend most of my time counseling or diving into research, more often than not you will find me chasing my kids to gt them loaded into the car to go somewhere, trying my hand at gardening, or texting my husband about everything. I treasure my time with family and enjoy exploring new ways to bring faith into everyday life. I’m never far from a cup of probably bad coffee—it's become a daily non-negotiable, even if it’s a bit more “rustic” than refined!
In our home, movement is a must and someone is always jumping off of something. I’m passionate about cultivating not just plants but meaningful conversations with the people around me, creating spaces where both growth and connection happen.
